Highway 70 Yard Sale has begun

JACKSON, Tenn. — The yearly Highway 70 Yard Sale is underway once again.

The tables are set and filled with just about anything you can imagine. People are set up all over Highway 70 with many items like furniture, kitchenware, tables, TVs, and much more.

“You’ll have fun over here cause we got just what you want, amen. We got a little jewelry, we got Tennessee state license plates, we got Griswold, we got a lodge. We got everything you want, jewelry, old coins, 1800, 1900 Morgan dollars, Carson City, Flying Eagle pennies. We got everything over here. You are going to be so happy when you leave. Our prices are cheap,” said Larry Bill, a vendor.

People are not just selling outside of their houses, Dan Hockburg has come here from Charlotte for the second time to participate in this event.

“This is my second year here right here in Jackson. It’s great. A lot of people are coming back like that they did last year. Fortunately, we are having good weather like we did last year,” Hockburg said.

People really enjoy this event. Families, neighbors, and even people living in the same apartment complex will come together to make one stand to attract more customers.

“It’s been going on for quite a few years. It just gives everybody from everywhere a place to come together and see what kind of bargains they can find,” Donna Odle, a vendor.

There is still plenty of time to go out and find some great deals.

The sale will continue through to Saturday, and you may still find some vendors out on Sunday.
