Auditions held for ‘The Play That Goes Wrong’

JACKSON, Tenn. — A new play makes its way to downtown Jackson.

The Jackson Theatre Guild had their auditions Sunday night.

Auditions were held upstairs in the old City Hall in downtown Jackson.

Actors had two days to audition for “The Play That Goes Wrong.”

This play is a comedy described as something that the Hub City has never seen before.

Director Billy Worboys says that they have had 50 actors audition, but only eight roles to fill.

“There’s a lot of competition, ton of talent we’ve seen over the past couple of days, still not over yet, still have call backs tomorrow night, so, yeah, that’s the worst part of being a director over something like this, is having that much talent to pick from and then having to narrow it down,” Worboys said.

“The Play That Goes Wrong” will show September 28 through October 1. Click here for more details.
