Police confirm pedestrian struck by vehicle in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police confirm a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Jackson on Tuesday morning.

According to Jackson Police Department’s Police to Citizen resource, the incident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. near the intersection of North Highland Avenue and North Parkway.

Jackson Police Department Chief Thom Corley says a person — who has not been identified — was airlifted to be treated for their injuries. Chief Corley confirmed the individual was alive at the time of entering the medical helicopter.

According to Chief Corley, information is limited at this time, and no further details have been confirmed.
