‘Men on the Move Tour’ aims to connect positive male role models with local students
JACKSON, Tenn. — A community engagement initiative kicked off Friday morning to support and encourage young students in the area.

City Councilman Johnny Dodd, who represents District 2, is sponsoring the “Men on the Move Tour.” The program aims to bring positive male role models together with students to offer encouragement and support.
The first event on the tour was a meet and greet Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. at Arlington Elementary School.
“We want these kids to know that you do have somebody that cares about you. We are just trying to bridge the gap, we’re not trying to take anybody’s place as a father. We just want ’em to know that we do care. And you do have men in this community that want to come out and support you,” said Dodd.

Dodd is inviting men from all walks of life to participate, including local business owners, community leaders and others who want to make a difference in young people’s lives.
