New gym gives Dream Center of Jackson children a place to play

JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) - The Dream Center of Jackson is celebrating a major milestone with the grand opening of its new gym on Oil Well Road.

The center said the new space gives children a safe place to stay active, play and thrive, supporting the families the organization serves.

“We’ve had as many as 45 children at one time housed with their mothers here and so it became abundantly clear that we needed more space for the children to play and be educated and to spend time after school,” said Rick Allison, board chairman for the Dream Center of Jackson.

Organizers said the gym is an important step in their mission.
