“When Faith Faces Cancer” Seminar
200 S. Church St.
“When Faith Faces Cancer” is a four week seminar designed to help people face the medical, emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges that come with a diagnosis of cancer. Each week you will hear a unique story of survival from someone who has faced all of these challenges. You will then have an opportunity to share a part of your story with those sitting near you. Whether you are a patient, care-giver, or loved one of someone with cancer, your story matters; and sharing it can make the journey a little easier.
To make this event available to as many people as possible, we are offering two times and settings each week. The first will be midday on Thursdays, from noon to 1:15 p.m., at ComeUnity Cafe, 218 E. Main St. There is no cost for the event, but lunch can be purchased. Grab your food and join us in the upstairs meeting room.
The second time will be on Thursday evenings, from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m., at First Methodist – Downtown Jackson, at 200 S. Church St. Again, there is no cost for the event, and childcare will be available for the evening session, but must be reserved for children 3 years old and younger, by the Monday prior. To reserve nursery space, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Though not required, we recommend an optional resource book, “Cancer, Now What?,” by Kenneth C Haughk, Ph.D.
