Piney Flats woman killed in Henderson Co. car crash, fire

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.– Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated a fatal single-vehicle crash and fire that killed a Piney Flats woman Saturday.

According to an incident report, 21-year-old Mollie Lewis was traveling north on highway 114 in a honda.

The fatal crash report says the woman was driving north, just outside of Scotts Hill when she lost control of the car and went off the road.

Troopers wrote the woman went down an embankment and crashed into a tree when the car caught on fire.

The report indicates Lewis was traveling alone and appeared to be wearing a seatbelt.
