FULL VIDEO – Noah search & rescue continues; no volunteers used tonight
MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Officials held a joint press conference just at 4 p.m. at Pinson Baptist Church to brief the public on the search for missing 2-year-old Noah Chamberlin.
Search leaders and Chester County Sheriff Blair Weaver said Tuesday will be the first night since last Friday that they will not be using volunteers to help with the search.
Weaver addressed the media along with Madison County Fire Chief Eric Turner, Madison County Sheriff John Mehr and Edwin Grant of Team ADAM and Missing and Exploited Children.
They’re still calling this a search and rescue operation to find little Noah as we enter night six of the search.
Tuesday night is supposed to be some of the worst weather conditions yet, with sleet and snow possible overnight.
Sheriff Weaver says that’s why they don’t want civilians out there, but he says his office and the numerous other agencies that are assisting haven’t stopped looking for Noah.
The other big news announced at the conference was the help of Team Adam and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has been added to the search.
The sheriff says they are a new set of eyes that assist with missing children cases all over the country, and they say this search is one of the best run they’ve seen.
Noah reportedly went missing around 1:30 p.m. Thursday while on a nature hike with his grandmother and 4-year-old sister in the woods behind their home, according to Tom Mapes, Public Information Officer with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. The grandmother told officers she was paying attention to her granddaughter for a moment and when she looked up, Noah was gone.
