Man Arrested after Friends Say He Helped Woman

“She was bleeding so much that they said it looked like she got shot,” said Bobby Irwin. She recalled what she heard happened at the Mix Factory Friday night when police said a woman fell from a bar stool and hit her head. Her fiancé, Michael Plummer rushed to help. “He was not drinking, they said when he put her in the car, she was foaming at the mouth, eyes had rolled to the back of her head, she actually had bled so much that she stopped bleeding. ” According to police, Plummer headed south on the bypass, running red lights and driving twice the posted speed, even though police tried to stop him. Deputy Chief Barry Michael said the Jackson Police Department arrested Plummer and took him to jail. “The driver of the vehicle had carried her there as a result of her injuries but he was also driving on a revoked license for a fifth offense.” Plummer now faces charges for evading arrest and driving on a suspended license, even though his heart may have been in the right place, Deputy Chief Barry Michael said they still have to lay down the law. “He’s putting a whole lot of other people in danger by driving that was as opposed to going the speed limit on an injury that wasn’t life threatening apparently.” “Charging him with driving on a suspended, I can understand that, but evading arrest for saving someone’s life? I think that’s a little outrageous,” explained Irwin. Plummer is free on a fifty thousand dollar bond, he is scheduled to return to court on April 12th.
