Shooting on Liddon Street
A shooting in east Jackson sends one man to the hospital and has three others in custody. Around 7:30, Wednesday night (March 2), shots rang out at a house in Liddon Street. Police said a 20-year-old man suffered a single gunshot wound to the back and is expected to fully recover. Within minutes, officers had three suspects in custody, two of them are just teens. A 14-year-old was taken into custody at a home along Idlewild Street and a 15-year-old was arrested at a house on Phillips Street. The third suspect is an adult, but because charges have not been filed, officers are not releasing his name. Investigators said they are trying to determine what prompted the violence.
