Taste of Jackson 2011

Food lovers from all over the Hub City converged on downtown Jackson, Thursday night to treat their taste buds and help a great cause. More than 50 vendors made up for the 25th annual Taste of Jackson at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. It not only offered those attending a very tasty night out, it also raised money for the March of Dimes. One restaurant owner said the event is great way to network with the public as well as help raise money for the March of Dimes. “It’s a signature event for Jackson,” said Clark Shaw, owner of the Old Country Store restaurant. “So many people come out to support this and it gives us an opportunity to talk with them and get to know them and they get to know us.” Last year, the Taste of Jackson raised more than $30,000 for the March of Dimes.
