Madison Co. Fatal Fire Investigation

State fire officials are investigating a metal building fire that killed a Madison County resident. Lester Coleman, 85, was found dead inside his large shed on Phillips Road in East Madison County just after 10:30 Tuesday morning. Neighbors said Coleman worked on many projects inside the shed, one of which was welding. They report that they came out and saw the shed completely engulfed. Madison County Fire Chief Eric Turner does not believe their investigation will find any foul play, but is doubtful they will ever know exactly what caused the fire. Coleman’s body was taken to Nashville for an autopsy.
