Thieves Target Catalytic Converters
Several auto thefts Tuesday night have Jackson police searching for the stealth suspect. According to investigators, eight commercial vans at business in the 1000 block of the Highway 45 Bypass were stripped of their catalytic converters. Police said this type of theft increases when the price of precious metals in the converters rise. Larger vehicles are bigger targets, because they are easier for thieves to crawl under.
