Union Lady Bulldogs Win Big Saturday

Defending NAIA National Champions Union University Lady Bulldogs made up for a less than stellar outing in the Sweet 16 by toppling Westminster 78-61 in Saturday night action. Union advances to the semifinals for the 11th time in 22 trips to the National Championship, where it owns an 11-4 mark. It is also the Lady Bulldogs seventh-straight trip to the semifinals dating back to 2005. Kayla Hudson led all scorers with 27 points, including going four of seven from behind the three-point line. Also in double figures was Zeinab Chan with 16 points. They are set to face Shawnee State in the Fab Four at the Oman Arena, Monday night at 6:00 p.m.
