Newton Waives Hearing; Case to Grand Jury
The former Lexington Pastor accused of raping one of his youth church members appeared in court again Wednesday morning. Anthony Dale Newton, 51, waived his right to a preliminary hearing on the charges and the judge sent the case to the Henderson County Grand Jury. Newton is the former Pastor of H20 Church in Lexington. His attorney says Newton will maintain his innocence. Newton is also charged in Decatur County for Aggravated Statutory Rape.
