Hood Search Extends to West Tennessee
The search for a suspected police killer in Georgia has state officers asking West Tennesseans to be on alert. Jamie Donnell Hood, 33, is wanted in Athens, Georgia. According to the TBI, he is accused of fatally shooting one officer and injuring another. His whereabouts right now are unknown. It was just before 1, Tuesday afternoon that Hood, a kidnapping and carjacking suspect is accused of opening fire on two Athens-Clarke police officers. Investigators said a third officer, Elmer “Buddy” Christian drove up, Hood took aim and fatally shot him. He is considered armed and very dangerous. A $50,000 reward is being offered for Hood’s arrest. If you see him, call 911 right away.
