Processing Error Delays JMC School’s Payroll

Thousands of Jackson-Madison County School employees woke up Wednesday morning expecting to find their paychecks in the bank, but were not. For employees of the district who receive direct deposit, their funds usually appear in their accounts the day before the actual payday, which falls on the 15th and 31st of every month. According to an email sent by the district to all employees, a processing error was blamed for the one day direct deposit delay. Direct deposits as well as paper checks are scheduled to be issued, Thursday.
