Police Arrest Suspect in East Jackson Shooting

Jackson police have arrested Ladarius Maxwell, 18, in connection with a shooting that happened nearly a month ago. Maxwell was arrested late Friday afternoon after investigators found him sitting in a parked car on Caldwell Place. He was taken to the Madison County jail where he faces charges of aggravated assault for a shooting at a man in Lincoln Court on March 3. However, in a separate incident on March 16, that same man was allegedly shot by Maxwell, while riding around in a car in Lincoln Courts. The victim remains in critical condition.
