Crockett Student Still Critical, Purvis Free on Bond

The Crockett County High School student injured last week after a baseball game between his school and Dyersburg High School remained in critical condition Monday at The Med in Memphis. Police said the 16-year-old was hit by a vehicle and then run over outside of Dyersburg High School following the Thursday night game. 18-year-old Christopher Purvis faces charges of attempted first degree murder and leaving the scene of an accident. He posted a $50,000 bond, Friday and is currently free.
