There appears to be a bit of improvement in the condition on the City of Henry Police Chief who was involved in a crash in Paris. At last report from Vanderbilt Medical Center, Chief Mark Herndon has been stabilized but remains in critical condition. Chief Herndon was traveling south on Highway 79 from Paris when his SUV cruiser and a log truck collided Monday morning at the intersection of Highway 218. Chief Herndon’s injuries were so severe that he was transported to three different hospitals in less than 12 hours. The Tennessee Highway Patrol has not released the results of their investigation into the cause of the crash.
