Presson Trial Underway

A jury has been seated in the aggravated sexual battery case for former Madison County Constable Michael Presson. Monday afternoon, his trial began in Judge Roy Morgan’s courtroom, with the questioning of the potential jury. Presson was arrested in July of 2009 on three counts involving a 12-year-old girl. According to court papers, on two different occasions in July 2009, the young girl alleges while at Presson’s home on Johnston Loop Road, he bathed her and inappropriately touched her genital area. Presson has remained free on bond, His trial is set to continue, Tuesday.
