Lambuth Prayer Vigil
A community-wide prayer service was held for students, employees, alumni and supporters of Lambuth University. The service titled, “Uniting in Faith,” was held at the R.E. Womack Chapel on campus. Attendees came together Wednesday night for prayers of faith, hope and perseverance. Rev. Steven Fonville, chaplain of Lambuth University said it is important to pray for wisdom and direction for the school’s leaders. “Tonight, we’re just giving faculty, staff and students and community members the opportunity to gather in prayer so they will be reminded that, during this time whatever the decision that come tomorrow from the board of trustees what we’re still together and that we still have faith in God and no matter what happens that faith won’t waver,” said Rev. Steven Fonville, Chaplain, Lambuth University. Attendees were also able to partake of communion at the prayer service. Thursday, Lambuth University’s Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet to discuss the future of the school.
