The search for a missing Henry County woman has ended tragically. The Henry County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the body of Alice Stachwicz was found Wednesday night in a creek off Barnhill Road. She was last seen alive, Sunday. Investigators said she fought with a family member at her home before disappearing. Deputies said a neighbor found Stachewicz’s body on his property near a beaver dam. But many remain like she was murdered and if so, who could be responsible. “We still are keeping it active. We have done some interviews of friends, of co-workers and we’ve also spoke with the relatives so, but at this time right now, just a recovery of a missing person. but it’s still an open investigation until we get something back from our autopsy,” said Director Damon Lowe of the Henry County Sheriff’s Department. The autopsy on Stachewicz’s body is being conducted by the medical examiner’s office in Nashville. If you have information that could help in the investigation, call the Henry County Sheriff’s Department at (731) 642-1212.
