Heart Network Holds Open House
Those who suffer a heart attack now have another location to get comprehensive immediate care. County medical leaders cut the ribbon for the new West Tennessee Heart Network at the Gibson County General County General Hospital in Trenton, Tuesday afternoon. The network is a newly designed process and cooperative effort between emergency medical services, both land and air ambulance, local emergency rooms and the Tennessee Heart and Vascular Center. The network will provide comprehensive, efficient, speedy care for heart patients. “It’s been a total community collaborative process, it’s going to make it a lot easier to get patients where they need to get and take care of their hearts,” said Steve Albright, administrative director of the Tennessee Heart and Vascular Center. Gibson County General Hospital is one of five hospitals that will be part of the network.
