Council Votes on Charter Changes
Member of the Jackson City Council voted Thursday on revisions to the city’s charter, after several months of revisions by a citizen appointed committee. Council members voted to approve 17 out of 22 of the revisions, which will now be sent to Nashville to be voted on by the legislature. Many of the revisions were minor changes, such as typing and grammatical errors. However, members say the experience ahs given them and even deeper appreciation for their local officials and government.
