Jackson Police Identify Thursday Crash Victim

Jackson police have released the name of the man killed in violent wreck on the Highway 45 Bypass, late Thursday morning. Officers told ABC 7 Eyewitness News John Latham, 77, of Jackson was the driver who tried to cross northbound lanes from Frontage Road when he was broadsided by another car. According to investigators, both drivers were wearing their seat belts. The other driver was not hunt. Preliminary findings show there was no indication that speeding or impairment was a factor.
