Lambuth Students Look for Alternatives
As students enter their last week at the historic Lambuth University, some students say while they are disheartened over the school closing, they’re optimistic about the future. “I mean it sucks, I mean there’s not much you can do about it. They probably possibly could have done something way in advance, but, I mean, it is what it is,” said Josh Taylor, a Lambuth athlete. Some Lambuth athletes say they have more options leaving the college than they had coming into the school. “I play football and with the coaches having other coaches coming in offering us scholarships, another chance to play, I’m pretty sure I’m going to take up one of those opportunities,” said Geronn Moore, a Lambuth athlete. Some seniors said even with the school closing, they are confident their degrees are of value. “Well, I graduate Saturday, after that I’m applying for some graduate schools and graduate assistantship jobs. Everything will work out for the best,” said Sterling Williams, a Lambuth student.
