Destructive Strike Near Pickwick Landing

The Old Time Hardware store was one of two businesses destroyed Wednesday, after an unexpected storm hit the Counce-Pickwick area. The town began to come together after the storm hit about 5:15 Wednesday afternoon, many of whom say they did not even know the owner of the hardware store but wanted to lend a helping hand. According to the Hardin County Fire Chief, several homes and businesses were destroyed. There were two injuries total, but they were treated on the scene and did not have to be transported to the hospital.
