TN Death Toll From Storms Climbs
The number of known deaths in Tennessee from severe storms has risen to 16.
Greene County Emergency Management Director Bob Brown said Thursday that a sixth person had been found dead in that county in the state’s northeast corner.
Two others who were missing there were found safe, according to The Greenville Sun.
At least 9 people are confirmed dead in Bradley County, east of Chattanooga.
In neighboring Hamilton County, 41-year-old Mai Crumley was killed Wednesday when a storm hurled a tree onto her mobile home.
The death toll from the storms that lashed the South has grown to total of nearly 200 and is expected to rise.
