Kidnapping and Rape Suspect Sought

Jackson police are investigating the alleged kidnapping and rape of a 15-year-old girl. The teen told officers she was kidnapped at gunpoint in Lexington around 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. She said she was brought to the Knights Inn on North Highland Ave. in Jackson where she was raped by her kidnapper. However, she said she was able to escape and seek help at a nearby business, Wednesday morning. The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-to-late 20’s. He was allegedly driving a red Blazer.
