More Counties Declared Federal Disaster Areas

Nine more counties across the state are eligible to receive federal assistance after last month’s tornadoes and flash floods. In the ABC 7 Eyewitness News coverage area, Chester County, along with Henderson, Lake and Decatur counties were declared federal disaster areas, according to Governor Haslam. The designation means the counties can apply for federal public assistance. The governor has requested a separate declaration for 15 more West and Middle Tennessee counties.
