EEOC Visits Jackson

Employers workers and community leaders took some time to learn the ins and outs of employment law. Representatives from the equal employment opportunity commission came to Jackson to provide information to the public about federal discrimination laws. Those attending said the information will help them in their day-to-day hiring and employment practices. We do this to educate the public about employment discrimination to let them become aware of what employment discrimination is,” said Audrey Bonner, an enforcement manager of the Memphis EEOC office. “And ways to prevent it and things to look at so they’ll know how to correct problems that occur in the workplace.” For more information on the EEOC, contact the Memphis office at 800-669-4000.
