Riverside Grocery Attempted Robbery

Law enforcement is looking for a suspect who tried to rob a south Madison County grocery. Investigators said employees of Riverside Grocery said a man walked into the business around 8, Tuesday morning and demanded money from a clerk. When the clerk refused to give him the cash, he ran out of the store. The suspect is a black man, between five feet five and five feet eight inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has a moustache and was wearing a red cap worn backwards with hair coming out from underneath. He also was wearing a black t-shirt with an image of Popeye and black pants.
