Jackson Husband Charged with Aggravated Assault

A Jackson husband who says he was stabbed by his wife has been charged by police with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Jimmy Hazlerig Jr., 25, was officially charged with the count Tuesday morning in Jackson City Court. Investigators with the Jackson Police Department said they charged Hazlerig because he was the one who initially threatened to kill his 18-year-old wife with the knife. They said she was able to get the knife away from him and throw it, striking him in the abdomen. Hazlerig is currently free on $5,000 bond.
