FEMA Opens Disaster Recovery Centers
There are now two FEMA centers opened in northwest Tennessee to assist those affected by recent storms and flooding. The centers, one in Dyersburg on Lake Road and in Obion in Obion County are the result of five incidents, four involving tornadoes and one where flooding occurred. FEMA officials said you can be approved in the same day and money can be drawn in 72 hours to 10 days. If you plan on applying, you need to bring proof of identification, social security number, proof of ownership of property and anything to help document the loss.
