Woman Accused of Pointing Gun at Family, Others

An elderly Pinson woman is facing charges after Madison County Sheriff’s Department investigators said she pointed a handgun at five people, including her grandchildren. According to officers, the incident happened during a disturbance on Parkburg Road, Tuesday night. The investigation showed that Melba N. Gladhill, 77, pointed the weapon at her two grandsons and three other individuals. Gladhill is charged with tow counts of aggravated domestic assault and three counts of aggravated assault. She will be arraigned Thursday morning in general sessions court.
