A local service organization held a ribbon cutting, not for its grand opening, but to mark over a century of service to the Jackson area. Members of the Jackson Elks Lodge, The Chamber and community members gathered for the ceremony marking the lodge’s 120th year of rich history. The Jackson lodge was chartered in 1891 and has contributed millions of dollars to various charities. Members said they are excited about the milestone and look forward to working with the first female leader of the lodge. “It’s a great, great privilege for me to be president of the lodge, said Lori Nally, president of Elks Lodge 192. “I’ve been a member for fifteen years. We have been very committed to the lodge. So it make me proud that the membership elected me.” Members said they look forward to the next 120 years.
