Organ Solo Dedicated to Storm Victims
With many across West Tennessee still affected by the recent tornadoes and flooding, many are looking for ways to express how they feel. “I thought the piece this morning was so touching,” said Margaret Harrison, a member of First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Ronald Baud composed an organ solo dedicated to those who lost their lives in the storms that ravaged the south and Midwest. “I really felt I had to express what I was feeling in music and it drove me to write this piece,” said Dr. Baud. Those in attendance say the piece evoked emotion throughout the congregation. “He has the gift. God has given him the gift of being able to express what some of us feel and what some of us would like to say,” said Margaret Harrison, a member of the church. Dr. Baud said he did not write the composition to appeal to the masses but hopes it, “evokes imagery in ones mind,” said Baud.
