Fincher Talks Flooding with Farmers
As many across West Tennessee remember their loved ones who have passed on. Monday, Congressman Stephen Fincher took the time to remember the concerns of farmers victimized by this month’s flood waters. The Republican from Frog Jump hosted an Agricultural Disaster Listening Tour, Monday afternoon at the Dyer County Chamber of Commerce in Dyersburg. The forum gave many area farmers a chance to as questions, as well as receive information on assistance available to the agricultural community. Fincher spoke with ABC 7 Eyewitness News on why this event is so important. “We have got to address what we’re going to do, what all levels of government with the federal, state, local, the process, so to speak, of how we’re going to deal with this,” said Republican 8th District U.S. Representative Stephen Fincher. “Because the Mississippi River and the bottom, a lot of land is going to take years to be able to go back into production.”
