Child Dies In Horseback Accident
A 12 year old girl is dead after the horse she was riding was struck by a hit and run driver in the 200 block of Diamond Grove Road. Twelve year old Amber Kendrick of Pinson was riding double with another rider around 9:45pm, Tuesday night when the pickup truck hit the horse throwing her from it. The truck then struck a second horse and rider. The two other riders suffered minor injuries. After the collision the trucks driver stopped his vehicle, removed the license plate and then fled. Madison County investigators are searching for Richard Alan White, 28, of 301 Diamond Grove Road for questioning in the accident. We will have the latest throughout the day on ABC 7 Eyewitness News.
