Louisiana State Police said the two Louisiana fugitives who hid out in Madison County for a week in March did not have help escaping from prison. A review released Wednesday said investigators found no evidence that Ricky Wedgeworth or Darian Pierce had help from family members or prison workers. The probe did find that procedures were not followed after it was discovered that the two were missing from their work detail. As a result. one employee was demoted, one was suspended on day without pay and two others were given letters of reprimand. Wedgeworth and Pierce are now at Angola State Prison while authorities wait to file murder charges against the pair in the death of Ohio businessman David Cupps. he was carjacked in Vicksburg, Mississippi and found dead in Bessemer, Alabama.
