Wilcox Attempted Child Rape Case Goes to Circuit Court

An east Tennessee man was indicted Monday by a Madison County grand jury on charges of attempt to commit rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery. According to investigators, the Morristown man attempted to rape a 3-year-old family member inside a Jackson apartment. Investigators said the young girl’s parents came home on February 15 to find Wilcox, who was baby sitting, completely naked in bad with the 3-year-old, who was unclothed from the waist down. Bond for Wilcox was set at $250,000.
