FEMA Opens Office in Gibson County

Residents of Gibson County now have another avenue to seek help to recover from, recent storms and flooding. FEMA , city, county and state leaders took part in a news conference, Tuesday announcing the opening of the disaster recovery center in Milan. The leaders discussed disaster recovery efforts and took questions from those affected. FEMA leaders said it is important for residents to apply quickly for any assistance that may be available to them. “The disaster s always start on the local level, but it’s our partners with the state that helps us get the connection with the federal government and when the federal government comes in, that’s when our relief gets here, said Rickey Graves, Gibson County EMA director. The FEMA Disaster Center for Gibson County is located at Milan High School.
