Ridgely Police Chief Dies

On Tuesday, the town of Ridgely, located in Lake County, laid their police chief to rest. The Department tells ABC 7 Eyewitness News Chief Glen Floyd died Sunday evening after suffering a heart attack. The 51-year-old had been on leave from the department since February when he suffered an initial heart attack. Fellow officers said they believed he was recovering well before Sunday. Chief Floyd had been the the Ridgely Police Department for 18 years and served as chief since 2005. Before coming to Ridgely, Floyd served with the Dyersburg Police Department. It is now up to the mayor to decide who will lead the police department next.
