Alexander on Trial for Manslaughter

The trial for a McNairy County man accused of beating his neighbor to death began today. Stanley Alexander is charged with voluntary manslaughter in the March 2010 death of his neighbor, Johnny Burkhead. The family of the victim told ABC 7 Eyewitness News the two men had a history of heated arguments, but they never thought they would turn violent. Investigators believe Alexander used a steel pipe to beat Burkhead after an argument over property lines. The trial is expected to wrap up this week.
