Heat A Concern At Bonnaroo

Music fans looking for a hot time in Tennessee have found the right place.

As temperatures soar 10 degrees above normal statewide, 80,000 people are thronging a farm near Manchester for the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and up to 60,000 will fill LP Field in Nashville nightly at the CMA Music Fest.

Temperatures in the middle to upper 90s are baking the state, and every region has broken or tied at least one daily high temperature record since June arrived.

National Weather Service forecaster Chris Duke in Memphis calls the sustained hot weather the kind of hot spell usually not seen until July and August.
