McNairy County Looking for Home Burglars

Law enforcement in McNairy County said a group of burglars are wanted for a slew of home burglaries in McNairy and Hardeman counties. “We currently have charges on one of the suspects, Joshua Purvis and we’re looking for him now. We’ve been out every day and night,” said Sheriff Guy Buck of McNairy County. Sheriff Buck said Purvis set up a tent in the Leapwood area of McNairy County where he has been living and storing stolen goods. “A witness saw him flee the scene and we were able to get our K-9 unit down there and we were able to track where he had stored the property,” said Sheriff Buck. Sheriff Buck said they recovered all the property stolen from McNairy County, but Purvis still remains on the run. “I think a lot of people in Adamsville and around here need to get off their can instead of out (there) stealing,” said Dan Cates, a resident of Adamsville. Cates said he feels law enforcement should do more surveillance to catch burglars in his community.
