First Lambuth ROTC Graduate Commissioned

It was a historic day, Friday on the campus of Lambuth University with the first ever commissioning of a Lambuth ROTC graduate. Billy Blackwell graduate from Lambuth this spring with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, though he completed the ROTC program through U-T Martin. The Jackson native said he no has his sights on serving in the Tennessee National Guard. “I look forward to it. It is going to be a great experience I can’t wait to go out there and lead my own troops,” said Lieutenant Billy Blackwell with the U.S. Army. Lieutenant Blackwell will serve in the aviation wing of the National Guard.
