US Farathane Adds Jobs in Jackson
Automotive supplier, US Farathane, announced today it will invest $4 million and add 50 local jobs to the area. “We’re looking for production operators, maintenance folks, process engineers, process techs, skills trades groups, as well as, the hourly positions that we’re currently interviews for,” said Kevin Brady, General Manager for US Farathane Corporation. U.S. Farathane has eight U.S. manufacturing plants and employs 1,000 nationally. “This mean a lot for Jackson, especially with the addition of jobs and growth and within our industry and the improvement in the economy we’re definitely seeing an economic boost,” said Brady. According to officials at the Jackson Area of Commerce, the expansion comes as a result of Jackson’s commitment to work with existing manufactures in the area. “Most of the growth we see malefactor and industry wise comes from existing industries, so it’s very important, this communities and others in the region to have a very good relationship with their existing industries,” said Kyle Spurgeon, President of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. Job seekers in the Jackson area said the news of 50 new jobs comes at a good time. “I think it will be great if it benefits 50 people out of work that need work,” said Angela Hawkins, a job seeker.
