Disaster Food Stamps Available
Food stamps will be issued beginning Monday to residents of 11 Tennessee counties as a result of severe spring weather.
The counties are Carroll, Crockett, Gibson, Hardin, Henry, Knox, Lauderdale, Lincoln, Madison, Montgomery and Tipton.
Applications for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will be accepted through Friday at state Department of Human Services offices in the counties.
Up to one-month allotment of food stamps may be approved. They may be redeemed for up to 90 days at authorized grocery retailers.
